Why are we still singing Christmas songs in January?

Surely it can’t only be me that has toddlers dragging Christmas into the new year. It really wasn’t something I was expecting. Last year, they were too young to really get Christmas but here we are, mid January singing jingle bells. Not just them. I can’t stop myself either when they start.

I guess I have myself to blame. I love Christmas and so the decorations are always up early, songs sung over and over and general brainwashing of festivities for an entire month is bound to be hard to shake. The Santa and elf bibs have also remained as it seemed silly to wear them for just one day… but seriously, ho ho hoing at every mealtimes is starting to seem a bit rediculous.
